Colliers Retail Net Absorption Up in 3rd QuarterSouthern Nevada’s retail market posted a somewhat surprising positive net absorption in the third quarter, aided by Fry’s Electronics taking the former Great Indoors space in the northwest submarket, Colliers International Researcher John Stater said. Vacancy remained stable at 11.9 percent in the third quarter of 2011. While there were no hird quarter completions, new anchor space will come online over the next 6 months, which should aid net absorption but do little for the valley’s 1.6 million square feet of vacant existing anchor space.
