GLVAR Names New Director of Marketing and Community Engagement

Doug Bradford, GLVARThe Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® (GLVAR) has hired an experienced public relations, marketing and communications professional as its director of marketing and community engagement.

Michele Caprio, CEO of GLVAR, announced today that Doug Bradford, former director of communications for Clark County and the City of Las Vegas, was recently hired to lead the communications department of the 12,700-plus member REALTOR® organization. Caprio said Bradford’s communications, media and government relations skills and his longtime ties to the community made him the obvious choice.

“Doug has extensive credentials and is well-qualified to run our communications team, especially since he also has more than five years’ experience working as a REALTOR®,” Caprio said. “He has a long history of relevant communications knowledge and his familiarity with real estate principles and practices gives GLVAR an accomplished professional who understands the ins and outs of this industry.”

Keith Lynam, 2015 president of GLVAR, added, “I’ve known Doug for a number of years and I can attest to his integrity, communication skills and capabilities. Not only is he a solid communicator, but his organizational skills are impressive as well. Bradford’s diverse career includes working with his own public relations/marketing business, as a public information coordinator for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, and as a government affairs consultant for Nevada Power (now NV Energy). He also led the intergovernmental relations team for Science Applications International Corporation and was a television news reporter for KLAS-TV, Channel 8.
