Fast-Growing Las Vegas CRE Firm Adds Property Tax Appeal to Service Offerings
LAS VEGAS, NV – November 10, 2021 – Nevada-based LOGIC Commercial Real Estate (LOGIC CRE) announced today the opening of a new division of business services – LOGIC Property Tax Appeal.
LOGIC Property Tax Appeal (LPTA) assists business owners and real estate investors in lowering their property tax expenses by working on behalf of the owners to appeal their property tax value. LPTA handles the following types of properties:

The new LPTA division will be headed up by Shawn Heine, Partner at LOGIC Commercial Real Estate. Shawn brings a wealth of experience in property tax law along with a unique background in real estate law, as well as Tax Research, Appeals, Legal Research, Financial Analysis, Finance, and Negotiation. He previously worked for a Fortune 200 company contesting the taxes on their assets.

The typical tax appeal process can be cumbersome for property owners to attempt themselves. First, owners have to obtain current property assessments to determine if the property’s current taxable value is excessive in relation to comparable properties. Then, they need to file a formal protest with the local county appraisal office. They would then commence negotiations with the local assessor to obtain a lower taxable value for the property. If they are
unsuccessful, they would then need to present evidence at a formal hearing in front of the county appeal board. LPTA manages this entire process for their clients.
