NAIOP Southern Nevada presents “Conventions, Hospitality and Live Events, What Will Normal Look Like?” at its monthly breakfast meeting. The program will be moderated by Dan Tuntland, of DJT Real Estate. Speakers include Marc Badain, president of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Steve Hill, CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The meeting is sponsored by Cox Business.
Last year saw positive absorption for the industrial sector despite two historically key industries – conventions and hospitality – posting negative absorption. What’s going to happen when these two industries reboot in Southern Nevada?
Pre-pandemic, Las Vegas was celebrating major developments such as the convention center expansion, the completion of Allegiant Stadium and more than 3,000 new hotel rooms being built at Resorts World on the Strip. As Las Vegas recovers and continues to open back up, and as these and other projects begin to operate at or near capacity, what will normal look like?
This month’s breakfast will be a hybrid presentation where attendees can choose to attend in person at the Orleans Hotel & Casino or virtually, through Zoom.
