Angelina Scarcelli has overcome more than her share of challenges to become an emerging leader in the real estate industry and this year’s president of the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas.

Scarcelli, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Certified Property Manager (CPM®), is managing director of real estate management services in Nevada for Colliers International.

She took over as CALV president starting Jan. 1, 2022 after serving as CALV’s president-elect in 2021. She has also been a CALV board member. Scarcelli has earned several industry awards and held leadership positions in other local organizations representing commercial real estate professionals, including the local chapter of IREM, the Institute of Real Estate Management, where she served as president in 2018-2019.

In addition to representing the nearly 700 members of CALV, which has grown into one of Nevada’s largest organizations for commercial real estate professionals, she also serves as the regional vice president for IREM, representing Nevada and four other western states.

A cancer survivor, she also overcame a bout with COVID-19 that left her hospitalized late in 2020.

Since overcoming cancer seven years ago, she has supported the American Cancer Society, including participating in the organization’s national ResearHERS campaign in 2021. She has also donated her time and talents to numerous other nonprofits in Southern Nevada, including co-chairing the annual CCIM wine event in 2019 that raised money and awareness for local charities such as Project 150 and Spread the Word Nevada.

Scarcelli, who was born in Michigan and raised in Florida, moved to Las Vegas in 2000 with her family. She landed her first job in the real estate industry that same year, when a temp agency helped her secure a job with Healthcare Realty Trust, a medical office real estate investment trust, or REIT.

From there, she steadily advanced her career with increasingly more prominent roles for other real estate firms and developers, including jobs with The Ribeiro Corporation, Plise Companies, and prior to Colliers International, Sperry Van Ness, where she oversaw property management operations while also focusing on tenant and owner relations and business development. She joined Colliers in 2013 and now directs the firm’s property management divisions in Las Vegas and Reno.

Her goals for CALV during her one-year term as its elected president include expanding its educational offerings specifically for commercial real estate professionals. She also looks forward to doing more to mentor the next generation of people entering the profession while promoting initiatives by CALV and others to increase diversity in the commercial real estate industry.

Her years of volunteer service to CALV, IREM, CCIM and other industry groups have earned her several awards. They include 2017 Certified Property Manager of the Year and the 2020 Professional Achievement and Mentorship Award from IREM, 2018 CCIM Member of the Year, and 2019 Colliers International Employee of the Year.

When she’s not working or volunteering to help her industry and community, Scarcelli enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, 4-year-old son and 13-year-old stepdaughter.
