LAS VEGAS – WTD Development & Construction (WTD), a full-service real estate and general construction company, was named general contractor for the Roberts Communications Network Operations Center, a 10-acre technology campus being built in Henderson, Nevada at 4075 Volunteer Blvd., south of the M Resort Spa Casino .
The Roberts Communication Network Operation Center satellite antenna field is a $10 million project on 1.7 acres of land. It includes 22 satellite dish pads with eight antennas, including four 7.6-meter satellite antennas used in worldwide broadcast applications and high-density data, voice and communications networks, and four 9.3-meter satellite antennas delivering exceptional performance for transmission and reception. The antenna field can expand to house up to 10-meter antennas and it holds a utility company zoning designation.
Phase 2 of the campus is the Network Operations Center (NOC), a tilt wall building offering 58,000 square feet of space. It houses an equipment room with 96 racks of equipment; a network operations center with a 60-monitor video wall and eight master control rooms; a print shop; warehouse storage; and loading dock. Valued at about $20 million, the building’s shell construction is finished and tenant improvements are roughly 95% complete.
Roberts Communications Network is the leading communications services provider to the pari-mutuel betting industry.
