MDL Group dedicated the entire month of April to raising money for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives by investing in science to find the cures. This is the 8th consecutive year MDL Group has raised money for Susan G. Komen resulting in a total of $7,377.21 raised.
With two survivors who work at MDL Group, the office set a goal to raise $1,000 by fundraising with a variety of activities including two BBQ potlucks charging $5.00 per employee. Daily bake sales with the staff taking turns to bake throughout the month and selling the treats for $1.00 apiece. On PINK Fridays staff wore jeans, pink accessories and tennis shoes. Those that opted for the casual dress donated $5.00.
The result of the collective efforts was surpassing the fundraising goal collecting over $1,222.00!
