The 46-year-old Boulevard Mall at 3528 S. Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas is undergoing a $25 million makeover. Sansone Companies last year bought the 1.18-million-sq-ft. enclosed shopping mall for $54.5 million from Midland Loan Services. Previous owner, Rouse Properties, surrendered the property over in a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. The 140-store, 3-anchor complex, spread across 56 acres, was last renovated in 1992. Makeover plans call for new stores, restaurants and entertainment venues, plus a redesigned façade with new storefronts, awnings and landscaping. Anew 70-vendor farmers market is being added, as well as a large children’s playground, valet parking, and free wireless Internet. The food court is being upgraded, too, with new tenants and four 80-in. plasma televisions. The multi-phase improvements are expected to finish in 2015.
