PENTA Building Group completed the 400,000-square-foot Metropolitan Police headquarters, on 14 acres, at 400 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Las Vegas. Developed by Mark L. Fine, the office complex consists of two four-story buildings and one five-story building, plus a 5-level, 2,100-space parking garage. Thomas & Mack Development Group was the project manager; DLR Group was the architect. Project costs were not disclosed. The complex was developed under a 30-year lease-purchase pact with Clark County and the city of Las Vegas. Rent will run about $2.35 per square foot, with a 2% annual increase. Metro has a purchase option after three years for $36.6 million plus the appraised value.
