LAS VEGAS, Nev., October 28, 2020 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today the firm represented Border Concepts, Inc., the premier supplier of steel edging, Wrought Iron and pottery products to the Independent Garden Centers and Landscape Wholesale market, in leasing a brand new 62,000-square-foot Class A industrial building in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alma Cuevas, Jason Griffis and Zac Zaher with Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the transaction.
Expected to open November 1st, Border Concepts will use the facility to better service customers in the Southwest United States. Chief Executive Officer Neil Miller expressed enthusiasm about the new launch, stating “We are extremely excited to add to our footprint and better service the Southwest United States and its customers from our new location. We know being closer to the market will better aid us in servicing our Retail and Commercial customer base.” The new location complements their existing facility in Kent WA, allowing them to better service the entire West Coast.
In a company statement, Border Concepts said the new location is projected to generate growth for the company by expanding their footprint to get closer to their end use customers and allowing them to carry additional inventory. This continues a period of significant investment in their business, as Border Concepts has also recently opened up new locations in Seattle, WA, Pittston, PA and continues to expand their Lexington, NC facilities.
Border Concepts was founded in 1990 as a steel landscape edging manufacturer. Through the years the business has grown organically and through acquisition to meet the needs of their key customer bases of Independent Garden Centers and Landscape Wholesalers.
Border Concepts’ new facility is located at 7940 S. Valley View Blvd, Ste. 130, near the Blue Diamond Rd and Interstate 15 interchange and with convenient access to McCarran International Airport and the Las Vegas Strip. The facility is situated within the Blue Diamond Interchange Center owned by Juliet Property Company.
