The City of Las Vegas approved the ownership transfer of 1.7 acres to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The space, which is being turned into a park, will be located on the east side of Symphony Park Avenue, between Promenade Place and City Parkway. The $10 million Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park will be a multi-functional gathering place for concerts, festivals, community and private events. Lifescapes International is the landscape architect, with Tate Snyder Kimsey as architects for the bandshell, which features a custom art piece by Tim Bavington.
