He previously worked as a real estate attorney at the Christensen Law Firm, the Hopp Law Firm, Cooper Castle Law Firm and Harris Merritt Chapman, all in Southern Nevada. Sanders was also managing partner of his own local law firm, Fischer Sanders, LLP.
