JMA Architecture Studios President Tom Schoeman has retired after 32 years. The move follows the sale of JMA this summer to Moon Township, Penn.-based Michael Baker Corp. in an all-cash deal. JMA is a privately held architecture, planning and interior design practice with a single office and 40 employees. The firm had $10 million in billings in 2010, or 75% less than five years prior when Architectural Record ranked JMA as the nation’s 45th largest architecture firm with 200 employees and $40 million in billings. Schoeman served as president of the Las Vegas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1984 and received the AIA Nevada Silver Medal in 1998.
