LAS VEGAS – NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, recently honored the NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter with Chapter Merit Awards (CMAs) for outstanding leadership by a chapter president, volunteer of the year, membership and chapter of the year.
Hayim Mizrachi, NAIOP Southern Nevada’s 2022 president, earned an award for “Outstanding Leadership by a Chapter President,” recognizing him for demonstrating outstanding dedication to the local organization’s growth, success and standing throughout the Southern Nevada community. Among other accomplishments, his “Quantum Leap” initiatives vaulted NAIOP Southern Nevada on a path toward success and relevance in the future, white elevating the local chapter to the tenth largest chapter in the nation. The initiatives are a roadmap with actionable items that can be followed to achieve goals including the need to develop leadership within its chapter. Under Mizrachi’s leadership, steps were taken to create the DOLI program, or the Developing Organizational Leadership Institute. Secondly, he led the board to prioritize the need for a full-time government affairs staffer for the chapter to ensure continued success for the chapter’s government affairs program.
The “Volunteer of the Year” award was presented to CRE industry leader Steve Neiger for his extreme dedication and exceptional efforts and contributions to NAIOP Southern Nevada. He was recognized for his involvement with the legislative and code issues, critical to the chapter’s members and the local commercial real estate community throughout Southern Nevada.
The “Membership Award” celebrates chapters that develop a plan for the chapter’s growth, resulting in an increase in overall membership. NAIOP Southern Nevada was recognized for its success, including increasing members from 580 to 670, a 13% annual increase, growing principal members from 20% to 23% and becoming a top 10 chapter by size, after previously being ranked among the top 15 chapters.
The “Chapter of the Year Award” recognizes chapters for overall excellence throughout the year, including involvement with NAIOP corporate, chapter growth, civic service and more. NAIOP Southern Nevada demonstrated an unyielding dedication to providing value for NAIOP members at every level, while staying relevant, according to the award.
