LAS VEGAS – Despite the ongoing pandemic and economic downturn, two recent surgery centers built by Nigro Construction suggest there’s still room for growth in the medical office sector in Southern Nevada.
Nigro Construction completed tenant improvement work on Surgeon’s Surgery Center in March. The outpatient facility, located at 6940 S Cimarron Rd, is a one-story, 11,688-square-foot surgical care center with four operating rooms, procedure rooms, reception area, pre- and post-operative areas, as well as decontamination and clean processing work areas.
Nigro also completed work in August on the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Surgery (LVIAS), located in the southwest part of Las Vegas near Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway at 7183 Advanced Way. The 13,780-square-foot outpatient surgery center is a single-story facility with four operating rooms, pre- and post-operative areas, a large nurses station, reception area and medical offices.
“There are only a few contractors in town who understand the regulations required to build medical facilities like this, and we’re one of them. We’ve found that many of our medical clients are looking to design with upgraded efficiencies for an overall better patient experience,” said Mike Nigro, president of Nigro Construction. “It’s a lot of fun for us to work with these clients to create an optimal medical experience with new design improvements.”
