LAS VEGAS – Cherry Development, the local developer of popular downtown Las Vegas residential condominium buildings including SoHo Lofts and Newport Lofts, today unveiled plans for its first residential apartment building, shareDOWNTOWN, in the downtown Las Vegas Arts District with special guests, city of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and Councilwoman Olivia Diaz.

Several dozen residents, business owners and community leaders joined Cherry Development, Goodman and Diaz at the site of the new building, the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Colorado Avenue, to celebrate the debut of the largest new residential development in the Arts District that is raising the bar for live/work options in downtown Las Vegas.

With 63 one-bedroom units on three floors, shareDOWNTOWN will offer modern design elements in every unit such as European cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances, including an electric cooktop and all-in-one washer and dryer. The ground floor of the building will have two retail spaces and parking for residents.

Committed to creating residences that pair a vibrant, stylish urban lifestyle with relaxing, personal spaces, Cherry Development placed a special emphasis on health and wellness offerings at shareDOWNTOWN. The building will include a dedicated space called the Zen Room for yoga, meditation and other wellness programming, including regular visits from a therapist and physician to help residents live happier and healthier lives. The developer also partnered with the nearby downtown gym, Real Results, to create a unique fitness option for residents with multiple calisthenics machines on each floor.

The centerpiece of the building will be an interior, open-air courtyard where residents and guests can relax or entertain. As a dedicated green space, the courtyard will offer lush landscaping and uniform patio furniture for all units that border it.

Located just steps away from the eclectic bars, restaurants, galleries and shops of the growing Arts District, shareDOWNTOWN will offer people who work in the area a convenient live/work housing option. Electric bikes and scooters will be onsite for residents’ use, and for those who need a home office environment, shareDOWNTOWN will also offer an upgraded business center with a coworking space, cubicles, free coffee and wi-fi and a small conference room.

To reflect its artistic neighborhood, shareDOWNTOWN will also include unique design elements, including one-of-a-kind murals and sculptures from local artist SNIPT.

shareDOWNTOWN will also offer residents peace-of-mind with enhanced security, including key fob entry, fully secured garage and remotely monitored cameras. Units will be pet-friendly and offer views of the Strip, downtown or interior courtyard.

Slated to open in May 2020, shareDOWNTOWN is the first of a series of shareDOWNTOWN buildings planned by Cherry Development in downtown Las Vegas.  Rents at shareDOWNTOWN in the Arts District are estimated to begin at $1,100/month and will include some utilities.
