The Korte Co. has been hired to build the three-story, 54,000-square-foot Lied Discovery Children’s Museum inside the Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas. The $5 million tenant improvement will create nine distinct exhibition areas including an eight-level atrium tower that allows children to explore and climb through the roof to an observation point. Construction is scheduled to finish in early 2013.
