Architecture billings climbed nearly three points in October, reports the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Architecture billings are a leading economic indicator of construction activity, with approximate nine to 12-month lag time between architecture billings and construction spending. Architecture billings scored 49.4 in October, up 2.5 points from September. (Any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings).
