Colliers International – Las Vegas is proud to welcome Gawaan Hureskin as Property Manager in the Property Management Department.
Prior to joining Colliers, Hureskin spent 13 years in the Federal Housing Division working for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in both Chicago and Las Vegas. He previously worked for the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority, where he served as a property manager for federally assisted multi-family housing properties and managed over 300 residents along with multiple properties throughout the Greater Las Vegas area.
“We’re thrilled to have Gawaan join our Las Vegas office,” said Mike Mixer, Executive Managing Director of Colliers International – Las Vegas. “He carries extensive experience in property management in Southern Nevada and he’ll be a meaningful asset to our team.”
After moving to Las Vegas, Hureskin became a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where he received his designation as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM). He is currently a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate with the organization. During his time as a property manager for HUD, Hureskin assisted with over 12 different properties and has planned and organized several projects with the City of Las Vegas for vacant lot management in preparation for sale.
In his spare time Hureskin volunteers as a basketball coach at the YMCA for youth ages ranging from kindergarten to the eighth grade. He has a strong passion for acting as a mentoring figure for children and showing them how to grow into productive young adults.
