The Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV) honored commercial real estate industry leader Soozi Jones Walker today as its CALV Member of the Year.
She was honored during CALV’s 12th annual Commercial Alliance Educational Symposium, held Sept. 27 at the Gold Coast hotel-casino for commercial real estate professionals.
In presenting the award to Walker, 2017 CALV President Jennifer Ott, CCIM, said, “Soozi has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and service to CALV for many years and was instrumental in its foundation. Her hard work and dedication to Commercial Alliance and especially to our educational efforts has been invaluable to the growth and continued success of CALV.”
Walker, who has more than 33 years of experience in the local commercial real estate industry, is the president and broker of Commercial Executives Real Estate Services in Las Vegas. She is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and member of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR). She is also a board member and past president of CALV who has served in several leadership positions with these and other industry associations, including with the National Association of REALTORS®. A former member of the state Real Estate Commission, she has spent years teaching various real estate courses.
Walker played a leading role in the symposium, teaching a course called “Commercial Contracts – Do the Forms Really Matter?” She also moderated a luncheon discussion with local industry leader Ric Truesdell that continued CALV’s tradition of hosting entertaining events with the theme of “Las Vegas Real Estate Legends – When Cocktail Napkins Were Contracts.”
