Michelle Merced joins Sun Commercial Real Estate as an Associate with a focus on the multi-family sector. For the past 13 years, Michelle has been the CEO for Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, a local nonprofit that focuses on Affordable Housing and helping revitalize neighborhoods block by block. Michelle’s current projects include, but are not limited to, a 60-unit Sr. Housing ground-up development project focusing on revitalizing The Historic West Side.
Michelle brings over 20 years of experience centered around real estate and capital stacking both federal dollars and private funds. Her passion is to help and support nonprofits locally and nationally, through acquisition or selling in the commercial space, in order to help build capacity. She is a member of the Nevada Housing Coalition, The City of Henderson Chamber of Commerce, NAIOP – Southern Nevada Chapter, and is currently a Board member for The City of Henderson Libraries Foundation Board.
Michelle enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, and she is a first-generation Asian American who is a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. It takes her to the roots of where she is originally is from, Southern California, of which she continues to hold strong connections with the California community. She has lived in Southern Nevada for over 30 years and is proud to call Las Vegas home.
