Denver –  Nexus Commercial Realty, LLC, has closed on the sale of Westwind Apartments, a 43-unit apartment complex located at 1935 Carmel Dr., Colorado Springs, CO for the sale price of $3,788,000. Austin Smith of Nexus represented the buyer, MPW Capital, LLC.

Westwind Apartments is a 26,450 square foot multifamily complex that is a mix of studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units. The property was built in 1966 but has undergone significant capital improvements in the prior few years including updating units, new electrical panels, new windows and a new boiler.

1935 Carmel Dr. is located in Southeastern Colorado Springs near the intersection of Carmel Dr. and Monterey Rd. The property is surrounded by mostly residential neighborhoods and views of the mountains from the second and third levels are unmatched.

The buyer plans to continue to maintain and improve the property during his ownership. He will look to capitalize on the growing Colorado Springs market as well as further renovating units and raising the rental rates.
