Central Motive Power, a Denver institution, Sells to Diesel Forward

A Denver institution since 1917, Central Motive Power (CMP), sold the business and the company’s headquarters to a Wisconsin-based firm, Diesel Forward, Inc. CMP, started by the Vogler family, repaired, rebuilt and enhanced diesel and electric engines for the trucking and construction industries. For the last 50 years, CMP has been located at a 3.2-acre site it developed in unincorporated Adams County at 6301 Broadway. The real estate consists of two buildings: the main service building is 32,000 SF in size with 8 truck service bays, a parts warehouse with two dock doors, and 7,000 SF of office space & showroom area; the rear garage is 3,456 SF with two drive-in doors and it’s heated. Both buildings are steel-framed with slab-on-grade flooring. The property sold March 31, 2022 for $4,454,000. George Moseley of Sheldon-Gold Realty, Inc. represented the Vogler family in the sale. The buyer was unrepresented.
