AGC Construction Employment ReboundsAfter four years of decline, Las Vegas construction employment has increased for four consecutive months from June through September, reports the Las Vegas chapter of the Associated General Contractors. At the same time, average construction hours and hourly wages have spiked during the past few months, signaling that the beleaguered construction industry may have finally stabilized. However, Nevada will need to raise the economic development bar for significant job creation. Sectors likely to get increased attention include mining, defense, logistics, renewable energy, and health care.
