DENVER — Stonebridge Companies, a Denver-based, privately owned, innovative hotel owner, operator and developer, has announced that chief investment officer Jim Luchars will transition to the role of senior advisor.

The planned transition to senior advisor allows Luchars to remain closely involved in the strategic direction of the company. Alongside founder, CEO and chairman Navin C. Dimond, Luchars is helping to lead the search for a new chief investment officer and will remain in the role until it is filled.

“I’m grateful to Jim for his decade of leadership and service to us,” said Dimond. “Jim is an integral part of the Stonebridge family and I very much look forward to his elevated role as a senior advisor for the company, ensuring we continue to provide the Distinguished HospitalityTM our guests have come to know and expect.”

When Luchars joined Stonebridge Companies as chief investment officer, he began overseeing all acquisition and development growth initiatives for the company.

“Serving as part of the senior management team has been my great pleasure,” added Luchars. “I’m especially thankful to Navin and the entire team for their support and tireless work ethic, which makes moving into an advisory role all the more seamless. I look forward to continuing the good work of the company’s talented team members and assisting in the search for a replacement who is focused on our company’s continued growth and success.”

Prior to joining Stonebridge Companies, Luchars served as a principal with AEW Capital Management and senior consultant with the Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group in New York City.

During his time at AEW Capital Management, Luchars led the firm’s hospitality group, and was responsible for investment origination and asset management for all hotel investments in North America. Along with this, Luchars was involved in more than $3 billion in hotel and commercial real estate transactions in the United States and Europe. He also oversaw office, retail, residential and industrial acquisitions in Chicago, Boston and Florida.
